Job Description

Your New Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to support a multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF.

You will also:

• Synthesise customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
• Review and evaluate requirements for testability
• Develop API automated testing solutions in agile environment, DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks
• Develop test plans, test cases and test procedures; and effectively conduct developmental, integration and/or acceptance testing within the bounds of technical, schedule and cost constraints
• Perform analysis of test results, manage defects, and prepare comprehensive software, component, subsystem and/or system level test reports
• Be required to collaborate and solve problems

Please note due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian citizens and be willing to obtain and hold a NV-1 security clearance.

Qualifications

About You and What You’ll Bring

You will be curious, a consummate systems integrator and tester for off the shelf products and subsystems created to support the end product, and ensuring the systems work seamlessly with each other.

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a “can-do” and pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve Leidos’ objectives. You will be team focused and be an effective communicator who is confident to communicate at all levels.

You will also have:

• Substantial experience at Integration and Testing of software, components, subsystems and systems
• Substantial experience with API test tools SOAPUI, Postman
• Experience with scripting, test practices and test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber
• Programming skills in relevant languages e.g. C#, JS, Java, Python
• Experience in test requirements elicitation, decomposition, traceability, and documentation utilising test management processes and tools
• Experience with test and management tools such as, but not limited to, ALM, Jira, Confluence, Xray, JMeter.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering Practices and Agile processes
• Experience working within Defence environment is desirable
