About Working Parents Connect

Firstly, we are a team of working parents employed flexibly and remotely, proving that successful business outcomes don’t necessarily have to be measured by time spent in the office. Working flexibly allows our team to better balance our work and family commitments, and we understand that more than 85% of Australian parents are wanting this flexibility too.

We’ve combined our industry leading knowledge and recruitment expertise with a mission to advocate for real social change in this space. We want to see flexible working as the norm, we’ll challenge old-school policies and through our work we’ll connect hundreds of other parents with family-friendly employers and careers that enable them to be their best selves at work and at home.

Where it began

In 2011, a recruitment agency called JustMums Recruitment was launched to address a pivotal service gap in the market; a lack of specialist career support for working mothers. They were the first agency of its’ kind in Australia and successfully connected hundreds of working mums with flexible jobs, winning a string of awards for their work too. In 2018, JustMums acquired jobs board Working Mothers Connect, an online platform connecting job-seeking mothers with family friendly career opportunities and providing like-minded employers with the opportunity to advertise.

With a changing landscape of work, a focus on gender equality and to address a significant spike in the number of working dads contacting these brands for help too, the decision was made to merge and rebrand JustMums Recruitment and Working Mothers Connect businesses to Working Parents Connect.

Director

I am a seasoned agency recruiter with more than 15 years experience and found successful agency JustMums Recruitment in 2012 addressing a gap in the market – a lack of specialist support for working mums. I am a qualified Social Worker and have always been passionate about advocating for and supporting those in need. At Working Parents Connect I thrive on forming partnerships with individuals and employers who share our values and love that our work truly makes a difference.
