ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is accountable for management of assigned projects and project teams, from tender process to completion, ensuring that priorities and deadlines for each project are met keeping client and Ventia interests in mind.
The successful candidate will be responsible for staff supervision, site and plant maintenance ensuring that the work undertake is completed safely, within budget, timeframe and qualify conditions of the contract, either meeting or exceeding the clients expectations.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in building and managing effective teams of site staff, preferably within the Transport Infrastructure/Construction sectors. They will need to have the ability to supervise capital projects in the order of $5 to $10 million in total (approx.) and have demonstrated experience in site budget management as well as site administration. Strong knowledge of pavement repair methodology, chip sealing, retaining walls and asphalt construction are essential. You will also have in depth knowledge of safety standards and requirements along with an excellent site safety record.
Education and qualifications:
Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence.
Good working understanding of NZS3910-2003 and CCA.
Advanced level of computer Literacy
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Construction minimum
