About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Simpson Barracks (Yallambie). This is an opportunity to join Ventia in a role that provides a corridor for a great lifestyle outside of work!

- Finish at 12 pm on Fridays!
- Full-time role working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday
- Work with unique Defence vehicle and assets
- Training & Upskilling provided
Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Site’s maintenance function.
Responsibilities include:
- Unload goods and check them against order forms
- Catalogue or label items with storage details
- Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
- Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off the appropriate lists
- Package and send out completed orders to customers
- Move heavy packages using forklift machinery
- Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers
- Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers
About you
- Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent
- Exceptional customer service experience
- Must have a valid Forklift license
- Driver’s License essential
- Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
- Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and Defence systems desirable
- You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
