Store Service Assistant

The Opportunity

Ventia is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Store Service Attendant (Retail Assistant) to join our team in Campbell, ACT. In this role, you will report to the Site Lead and play a key part in the storage and distribution of Defence Force clothing to serving Defence personnel.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, either independently or as part of a team, where you will perform a variety of customer support and back office tasks.

Role Details:

• 1 x full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and deliver goods in a timely and efficient manner.
• Oversee day-to-day workflow: receiving, scanning, sorting, and organizing goods on shelves.
• Assist customers with stock location and progress inquiries.
• Provide over-the-counter customer service.
• Support regular stock takes and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Use the computer system to track stock quantities and locations etc.

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience as a store or warehouse attendant is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A team player who thrives in collaborative settings.
• Intermediate computer skills (proficiency in spreadsheets and applications).
• Must be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
