Road Maintenance Supervisor
About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead roading maintenance activities across our contract.
In this role, you’ll oversee a small team and be responsible for planning and coordinating weekly work programmes, allocating resources, and ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You’ll also manage subcontractors, monitor performance, respond to incidents, and maintain fleet and plant.
A key part of your success will be your ability to build strong client relationships, maintain consistent service delivery, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
You are an experienced supervisor with a practical mindset and a strong background in civil and road maintenance. You take pride in leading teams, delivering quality work, and maintaining safe, efficient worksites.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in road maintenance, civil construction, sealing, and drainage
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Good knowledge of pavement repair, chip sealing, and asphalt construction
- Experience managing budgets and site administration
- Class 1 & 2 NZ Driver’s Licence
- Relevant Temporary Traffic Management qualification
- A Diploma in Civil Construction (preferred)
