Network Integration Engineer

About the role

As a Network Integration Engineer, you’ll support the integration of network elements across fixed core and access transport platforms, including Fibre, Microwave, DWDM, SDH and Ethernet. 

You’ll work closely with design teams, field technicians and key stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment, accurate commissioning and successful service activation. These roles offer the chance to contribute directly to the reliability and performance of essential network infrastructure.

Additionally, you will:

• Deploy, commission and integrate network infrastructure across multiple transport technologies.
• Perform validation checks, acceptance testing and service activation.
• Migrate Ethernet and legacy SDH services and assisting with decommissioning activities.
• Support Field Services teams with installation and integration activities.
• Review design packages and resolving discrepancies.
• Provide technical support for escalations and service assurance. 
• Prepare performance reports against SLAs and KPIs. 

What you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Telecommunications or IT preferred).
• Experience in telecommunication core and access transport design, integration, provisioning and fault finding.
• Ability to provision services on transport platforms such as Fibre, DWDM, SDH, and Ethernet (L2/L3/MPLS) using Huawei, Alcatel, NEC, Ceragon, RTN, Aviat, Juniper, and Cisco equipment.
• Strong knowledge of provisioning tools and systems, including Helix, Spatial Web, VMR, Meerkat, Netconfig, and MNIS.
• Excellent understanding of MPLS/IP networks, Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF), and IPv4/IPv6 addressing schemes.
• Proficiency in Network Management Systems such as Huawei U2000/M2000/T2000, WEBLCT, Juniper Projen, Alcatel SAM, Cisco EPNM, Fusion Client, Aviat Eclipse, Tacacs, and Ceragon PolyView.
• Ability to interpret design documentation, site plans, and engineering drawings.
