Cyber Enablement Manager

The Opportunity

Join us as a Cyber Enablement Manager in North Sydney and help build a strong security culture across one of Australia’s largest essential services organisations. Reporting to the CISO on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you’ll lead the development and delivery of a security culture strategy that drives lasting behavioural change. Working with senior leaders and teams across the business, you’ll embed security into everyday decision making through practical, measurable initiatives, making it a core business mindset rather than a standalone programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and establish a baseline of Ventia’s current security culture and behavioural maturity.
• Develop a clear vision and measurable framework for security culture across the organisation.
• Design and implement a practical security culture and engagement strategy aligned with Ventia’s operating model.
• Define meaningful success measures and report on progress against agreed objectives.
• Drive initiatives that influence behavioural change and improve security ownership across the business.
• Embed security into onboarding, induction and employee lifecycle processes.
• Partner with technology teams to strengthen accountability for security outcomes.
• Work closely with executives and senior leaders to reinforce security expectations and leadership behaviours.
• Engage project and operational leaders to ensure security is considered throughout planning and delivery activities.
• Leverage existing communication channels, leadership forums and engagement mechanisms to maximise impact.
• Provide regular reporting and insights that demonstrate measurable behavioural and business outcomes.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced culture, engagement, or organisational change professional with a passion for driving behavioural change and building sustainable organisational capability.

Essential Experience

• Leading organisational change, culture, or behavioural improvement initiatives.
• Influencing senior stakeholders in large, complex organisations.
• Designing, delivering, and measuring engagement or culture programs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Translating complex concepts into practical behaviours and measurable outcomes.

Desirable Experience

• Background in cyber or information security, technology risk, or a related field.
• Experience in large operational or infrastructure organisations.
• Exposure to executive leadership and regulated environments.
• Experience embedding behavioural change within governance and business frameworks.
