Contracts Administrator

The Opportunity

Join our Sydney Harbour Tunnel and Western Harbour Tunnel portfolio based in North Sydney as a Contract Administrator, where you will play a key role in supporting the effective administration of the Head Contract and associated subcontracts. This position is responsible for ensuring the compliant, efficient, and commercially sound delivery of asset management services across the portfolio.

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will provide contract administration, commercial coordination, and financial support throughout the contract lifecycle. The role is integral to ensuring contractual obligations are met, claims and variations are effectively managed, and reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Accountabilities

• Administer contracts, notices, compliance obligations, and contract registers.
• Provide contract support, interpretation, and advice to operational teams.
• Coordinate legal, insurance, and commercial stakeholder inputs.
• Support subcontractor procurement, onboarding, contract administration, and performance management.
• Assist with subcontract variations, claims, and compliance requirements.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment tracking.
• Maintain accurate cost allocation, financial records, and commercial controls.
• Assist with variations, claims, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and monthly reporting.
• Manage change and variation registers, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Support commercial risk management, audits, compliance, and issue escalation.
• Maintain contract records and document control in accordance with governance standards.

About You

• Extensive experience in contract administration within infrastructure, construction, asset management, or related environments.
• Strong understanding of head contracts, subcontract agreements, and associated commercial obligations.
• Experience using contract management systems and document control processes.
• Well-developed commercial acumen with exceptional attention to detail and risk awareness.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working on motorway, tunnel, transport, or other major infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
• Previous experience working with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) or similar government and infrastructure clients is advantageous.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commercial Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Finance, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
