Will you actively create a healthier future for tomorrow?
At Medibank we’re encouraged to think big. We have a clear purpose to impact better health outcomes for our customers, patients and our community.
We celebrate diversity of thought because we want to make better decisions for our customers. As we work towards our goal of better health for better lives, we value the knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.
At Medibank, we pour our heart, soul and many design hours into helping Aussies connect with their health in a simple and easy way.
Our digital assets in Web, iOS and Android play a massive part in moving that to the next level, and we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to make our customer experiences as beautiful and delightful as they can possibly be.
Reporting directly to Design leadership, you’ll work collaboratively not just within our digital team but with the greater business overall. You’ll get a chance to contribute to upgrading our design language system, build upon our design practices and learn about design ops.
In an agile environment, you’ll prototype and concept features, ensuring aesthetics, accessibility, motion and function are just right. You’ll work closely with squads to discuss feasibility and design implementation both in Discovery and Delivery. You’ll have responsibilities around our iOS & Android platform, looking at experiences across our portfolio of apps.
You’ll work hand in hand with our cross-functional teams to better understand and optimise user journeys, applying those same learnings to our design execution.
If you bring your sharp design eye and adaptable approach to help Medibank’s digital experiences shine, we offer you a down to earth and talented design team to learn from, and the latest hardware and tools, to help you produce the best work.
You could be the one, if…
You’re not afraid of a challenge, in fact you love the idea of making an impact and leaving your mark. You don’t just admire Dribbble and Behance posts, you’re the one that’s making them and getting followed but you also have familiarity across iOS Xcode and Android Studio backed by experience and knowledge of guidelines to bring them to life.
You’ve got a natural curiosity to solve problems and are articulate enough to collaborate and gain buy-in around your ideas. You’ll be able to tie in your visual impact to improving the overall UX, your design chops around typography, grids and colour theory is respected. Your Figma files, frames and components are clean, layers logically grouped and named and you’re a ninja with plugins to help improve your design workflow making you more efficient and effective.
To complement your visuals, you’re able to coordinate and bring together design and product strategy, ideas and people to arrive at the best outcome for Medibank. You take pride in your open-minded approach and team player mentality. You’ve also got resilience and a mental fortitude that allows you to deal with uncertainty and you’re pro-active enough to seek clarity and information.
You love design and stay up to date with all the latest and love sharing anyone that will listen.
