Project Administrator – Contract & Commercial

Ventia have an exciting opportunity for a full time Project Administrator – Contract and Commercial to join our team in Canning Vale, working Monday to Friday with flexible work from home options available around operational requirements.

About the Project

The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is an international effort supported by 16 countries to build the world’s largest radio telescope, led by the SKAO.

Ventia has been awarded a significant part of the construction contract and is leveraging our telecommunications capabilities for this exciting project.

Our scope includes the provision of power and fibre networks, and the design and commission of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Remote Processing Facilities (RPF) at the Australian site.

The Project Administrator will take ownership in the ordering and financial management of equipment, materials, products and general services.

KEY DELIVERABLES: 

• Assist the Senior Commercial Manager with commercial and contract management functions.
• Process and respond to supplier / subcontractor payment claims and enquiries.
• Perform commercial research, prepare documents and obtain relevant records.
• Coordinate and update contract risk, early warning, transmittal and compliance registers.
• Drafting and managing of subcontract agreements, administration claims, variations, and administration of progress payments
• Collate and maintain commercial documentation, sub-contractor claims and reporting
• Action ad-hoc tasks from the Senior Commercial Manager and maintain the Pre-contract register
• Working collaboratively with the project team to achieve successful delivery of the SKAO project within the program and on budget

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in coordination on large infrastructure projects I.E Telecommunications, Construction & Maintenance sectors
• Competent in the Microsoft suite package
• Attention to detail, organised and forthcoming with solutions
• Proven experience working with subcontractors
