The role

As the Executive Manager Partnering and Commercial, your role will lead the partnering practice for IAG including strategic relationships and operational activities including both IT Outsource partners and Business Process Outsourcing partners. More specifically, you’ll sit within the Partnering Risk and Resilience Team, which in turn acts as the control tower that optimises the Technology & Operations Division’s commercial outcomes. The team supports the deployment of leading technology which establishes IAG as an industry leader in risk management, internal identity management, procurement process optimisation and value driven partnering. This is a newly created role and an opportunity for you to bring your extensive BPO, ITO and offshoring, supplier/partner governance and relationship management, contract management skills and join us in embedding and improving partnering governance, service transition, partner relationship and account management for IAG to enhance customer experiences, business optimisation, delivery  and operational agility.

What you’ll do:

A day in the role looks something like this….

• Develop and set the strategy for partnering group wide at IAG aligned to key business outcomes and the operating model, embedding an enterprise wide partner management model that includes the elements of operational partnering governance, relationship and account management and solutions design and delivery
• Ensure the Technology & Operations Division has a clear, strategically aligned budget and financial plan to ensure it meets its commercial commitments, partnering with the leadership team to help plan and optimise operating budgets and capacity
• Manage commercial risk for the division seeking opportunities to drive re-investment and value creation
• Optimise the Technology & Operations Division’s investment portfolio enabling the division to execute on value-adding initiatives and opportunities
• Ensure that IAG remains compliant within its hardware and software licensing obligations, and optimise our technology assets to drive value from our technology investments
• Drive benefits delivery and effective risk management for operational partnering /BPO partner relationships via alignment of IAG and partner strategies, and the evolution and implementation of a dual core insurance partner strategy leading a team of partnering, transition and enablement specialists who support the business to ensure partnering realises operational benefits, productivity and automation improvements, and innovation benefits.
• Lead partner management activities for the ITO partner relationships within the division that continuously improve the outcomes achieved through partners driving for efficiency, innovation, and value throughout the contract lifecycle. Ensure contract value and opportunities are realised and support the transition of services as required.
• Lead a team of partnering, transition and enablement specialists who support the business with future transitions to partners and working with partners and the business to ensure partnering realises operational benefits, productivity and automation improvements, and innovation benefits.

What you can bring to the role:

• Extensive BPO, ITO and offshoring, supplier/partner governance and relationship management, contract management skills
• A proven track record as a senior leader in a financial/commercial function with relevant professional certifications
• The proven ability to develop commercial acumen and capability across a division
• Strong influencing skills and the ability to effectively negotiate and balance the needs of key stakeholders
• Strong experience operating and delivering results in a matrix environment and leveraging relationships to influence and drive outcomes
• Significant experience leveraging third party partner relationships and governance frameworks to drive material organisational-wide benefits
