Exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor and Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a newly created Carbon Planning team at a highly regarded and family friendly property advisory firm. Flexible working arrangements, career development/progression opportunities and an immediate start (if preferred) are available for the successful candidates.
About our client
As an industry leader, our client is an established and highly regarded property advisory firm. With over 100 Quantity Surveyors nationally, they work on a diverse range of projects across a broad range of industry sectors including Commercial, Workplace, Education, Health and Aged Care. After launching a new Carbon Planning service, they are now looking for both a Quantity Surveyor and Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Melbourne.
About the role
As a member of the Carbon Planning team, these roles will work closely with the Carbon Planning Director and Lead (as well as other Directors, Senior Associates and staff members nationally) to maintain, grow and improve the Carbon Planning business unit while supporting the delivery of efficient and effective quantity surveying expertise. They will focus on assisting clients to achieve their Net Zero and sustainability targets – and supporting the national team to address and educate clients on the embodied carbon of their current and future developments. Using a combination of both strong technical and interpersonal skills, these roles will assist in developing effective teams as well as strong relationships with staff, colleagues and clients.
About you
The successful candidates will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering/Property and Construction/Commerce. As we are recruiting both a QS and Graduate QS, we are interested in talking to candidates with 1-5 years experience in a similar role or industry (and candidates with carbon experience will be highly regarded). With a solutions-orientated attitude, you will have a willingness and competency to perform in a commercial based role and consistently deliver exceptional client service and adhere to high quality assurance standards. You will have excellent communication skills, a practical mindset and work with a hands-on approach. The ability to work independently and manage complex situations with effective problem solving skills is essential – in addition to advanced Microsoft Office skills. Previous experience working in a consultancy will be highly desirable.
What’s on offer
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long term career with a highly regarded and family friendly company with a collaborative and supportive culture. In addition to an attractive salary package and flexible working arrangements, the successful candidate will be joining a firm that genuinely invests in their employees and offer career development and advancement opportunities.
